Lymphatic System

The lymphatic system is responsible for removing interstitial fluid from tissues. It absorbs and transports fatty acids and fats to the circulatory system and transports antigen-presenting cells to the lymph nodes where an immune response is stimulated. Diseases and other problems of the lymphatic system usually cause swelling and other symptoms.

The BTL`s Lymphastim works on the pneumatic presso-therapy principle. Special applicators with several overlapping chambers provide a gentle massage which encourages the natural circulation of the lymph through the body, similar to the manual lymph drainage provided by therapist’s hands.

Our Lymphastim machine provides the patient with a 30 minute, deeply relaxing massage. It is designed to stimulate peripheral flow and deep lymph nets by means of variable pressure that moves sequentially from the feet to the abdomen. This evacuates metabolic residuals from the interstitial spaces and enhances immunological system response.

The lymphatic drainage treatment is perfect as a cellulite treatment, for resolving water retention issues, for improving tone and for post-operative (lymph node removal) lymphatic drainage treatments. Puffiness, anywhere in the body, including in the face and under the eyes, begins to resolve as the lymphatic system function improves.

Weekly treatments for 8 weeks are advised for optimal effect. Thereafter, 1 treatment per month provides suitable  maintenance, unless personal medical conditions dictate otherwise. Used in conjunction with the toning effect of acoustic waves, significant results are achieved.
